Thank you! So good to hear I am not alone. Our sheep can push the lid off the chick feeder to get at the good stuff. There is no distracting any of them. I have had to feed the chickens when we let the goats and sheep out to free range in the yard. The turkey is in her own pen with holes big enough for the chickens to get through. This works fine when it isn't raining. We are not finished yet with the pole barn so everyone has to share the shed which is sooo not working for feed time. I don't want to totally separate them all since that means less room to roam for all concerned.
I was thinking about a feeder made of pvc similar to one I saw on here.... holes big enough for the chickens to peck at but too small for the goats to get much.... filled from the top and all one piece so it can't be pushed apart. Just in the thought process at this point.
Our chickens sit on our goats too! And the goats stand still till they get down. The sheep get free grooming from the chicks too.... so cute to watch.
