I have some Boer Goats and they have or it looks to be swollen jaws or under their jaws.. what is going on? Any help would be great.
Thanks, Melinda

Well, I know that usually in horses if thier jaw is swollen its called "strangles" so maybe look up to see if boers can get strangles. Other than that, have you looked around the jaw to see if there are any cuts or anything that may have got infected?

bottle jaw.....worm them with a good wormer and in two weeks worm them again.
That should take care of it if its what i'm thinking without seeing them

Sounds like bottlejaw to me also ...worm over load and also it could be their immune system gearing up for something else...a friend had 1 do this and then broke out with soremouth...just the immune system. Check the site to compare it.

Thanks for all of the help and information. I will deworm them w/ivermectin..
