Will this keep Nigerian Dwarves in?

Hi All,

I’ve been wanting to get Nigerian Dwarfs. Right now, I have 35 chickens and an Anatolian Shepherd, in an electric-fenced off area.

The setup below keeps chickens in and the dog just fine. Will it keep in Nigerian Dwarves?

I’ve read a book about goats before but don’t have any experience with them.

The wire spacing is 4.5”. The wires alternate hot / ground. The topmost wire is hot and is just about 3 feet above the ground.

Also… Are there any problems keeping goats and chickens together?

Thoughts?

I've kept chickens with goats for decades. You will just need to feed the chickens where the goat can't get to.

As long as your goats are happy they will stay in. If not they are pretty good at showing you where the all the holes are. Electric is a good deterrent.
