humm, wormed lately? 1 cup grain in morning/night per goat and free range hay for ours.

Maybe bloat....mix some baking soda in with water and squirt it down her mouth. to much grass will do that! they will eat themselves sick! you might have to tube it. What's the belly look like?

You should really post also on www.backyardherds.com
lots of breeders and experts in the goat area.
Please keep us posted!

hooves trimmed? geesshh i am running out of ideas. Maybe they ate something posionous......

If the kids have been scouring for three weeks it is unlikely to be either worms or bloat. Could be cocci. Could be a bacterial or viral infection. There are some drugs that will treat both bacterial diseases and cocci. You need to see a vet. The weakness is caused by dehydration. We use electrolytes made for calves but pedialyte will do. You can get that today. If you don't get that kid rehydrated ASAP she will be dead. How old are these kids? Are they over 8 weeks of age? If not they should still be on milk. They do need antibiotics.

I forgot to mention this. There is a medication you can get at the feed store that is made for treating scours in baby pigs. I forget what it is called. It is a liquid and it is red. Sometimes it works really well. And if it is going to be effective, it works fast. So you know early on if you are on the right track or not.

God i hope it will be OK!

gave her some pedia and some milk mixed with raw eggs she was a little bit better imma still work with her. BTW the little black one is seems to be doing great to day scours are all gone and i wormed all 4 goats last night

Milk is a great neutralizer if it is somethign they ate. We have had trouble with ours getting somethign that poisoins them, and they get the scours. Pull down the bottom eyelid- if it is worms bad enough to give them scours the eyelid will be white. If it is pink, or thier gums and tounge are nice and pink its probably not worms. Goat will also just feed on an illness- if you haven't any Goatade try pouring some molasses down thier throats- if they get too week they can't stop.

There are lots of questions I might ask, but I think getting to the point here is the best. Give the goat a shot of Oxytetracycline either the long acting or the quick (if quick give for 3 days) Give about 1ml to 1.5ml. Then if you have a tractor supply go get a bag of medicated sheep and goat. Feed only that till it runs out. Keep the kids on at least 16% protein for as long as you can (at least 6 months IMO). If they will drink milk mix a tablespoon of plain yogurt with about 8 ounces milk and make sure the kids drink it all. You should also drench the sick one with Nutri-drench (pump it back full of nutrients and vitamins.

If that doesn't do it find an expert! (Vet)
Good Luck!
Chris

She has been doing better today I moved her to a dog kennel by her self gave her so grain, water and hay and she ate the grain and been eating hay all day diarrea is gone but she is still very weak she is not up on her legs alot but i will update daily

What is her temperature and how is her breathing? Goats are very susceptible to pneumonia. Also selenium deficiency can cause weakness and scours. She could need some BoSe.
