Hello,

I have read a lot about the benefits of canned pumpkins for cats and dogs, but I was wondering if there are any for goats. I'm sure they'd like it as a treat, but I would like to know if I could use it as a feed suppliment.

For the record, I have 2 NDs.

Thanks in advance!

What is the protein, fat, and fiber content of canned pumpkin? That might be able to help you to decide.

If you want to feed your goats pumpkin, just feed them pumpkin. Be sure to cut it up in pieces small enough so they won't choke. They may not eat it at first though. I have gotten goats to try new things by cutting up a small piece of whatever and putting it in their mouths. I hold the mouth shut until they started to chew. Once they taste it, they may decide they like it and will eat it on their own. Or not. I can't think of any reason to feed goats canned pumpkin.
