Goats and chicks get along just fine. Mine stayed together day and night. All I did was make a separate place to put the chicken feeders because chicken feed is not that good for goats. If they eat too much they(goat) can bloat. But it does not hurt the chick to eat the goat food. So when I feed the goat their mix I throw extra on the ground for the chic so they would leave the goats to eat in peace.

Well my ladies have their own place and thats where their food is, as long as i dont leave the main door open the goats wont get at the chicken feed. nor will the red squirrels, the ones i have shot dead yet.
around here red squirrels and called dead squirrels

Well I got the two goats home in the back seat of a chevy king cab no problem. Since both are very docile goats this worked best for all involved

Wow! That angora is something to see!
Very nice!

Yesterday, I peeked in to check on my neighbor's pregnant pygmy since she was at work. I got there just in time! She was in labor and baby #1's head was out, and totally dry, so had been in that predicament for quite some time. Both legs were back and baby was stuck at the shoulders. Poor mama was just hollaring her head off. I was able to get baby delivered, and out popped sac #2. By this time I had called my neighbor at work to let her know what was going on, and had also called yet another neighbor to come help me. Well, baby #2 was also head first, no legs. We worked and worked and just couldn't free that one. But then the neighbor who owns the goats got home and was able to wiggle it free. Soon after came sac #3!!! That baby came out just fine, in fact nearly FLEW across the barn.

So that was a set of TRIPLETS in a first time mama! All three are doing super and the mama is being great with them and having no trouble taking care of the whole crew.

They're the cutest things I've ever seen too! So I'm on a goat "high" right now and enjoyed seeing yours as well!

Wow !!!

Well this mamma is 8 and the previous owner said she's gotten pregnant every heat since her first. this time it was with another pigmy in her herd. Little rasta is in need of shearing so bad that we had to remove about a foot of hair of the bottom just so he could move about, it was also caked with mud. Both seem to be doing ok in their new home at the back of the barn. A goat high LOL naaaa naaaa
