Goats are some pretty awesome chicken protectors

My goats are, for now housed with my enclosed run chickens. When they get bigger I may let them out during the day and lure them into a shelter at night with treats. We have coyotes here but our property is the most open and they don't come around here much. They tend to harass the animals on properties that border on the creek and woods. Plus, my sweet Jack is a coyote chasing fool! Diana, on the other hand is just a fool!

Warden,

Animal crackers, carrots, or apple oat cookies (feed store treats) make mine come a running. All though they run stiff legged because they get excited over food and partially faint lol

Ok, thanks. My dwarf Nigis loved animal crackers but I am going to try to go with something more nutritious this time. We always have apples and carrots because of the donkeys.
