Hello! There is a group on facebook called
Wisconsin Dairy Goats. Most goat dairies right now are well into kidding, and male kids are a dime a dozen (not really, more like $10-20 each). Wethered males make great pets. However, one should never keep a single goat. They're herd animals, and shouldn't be kept alone. A pair of does, a wether and a doe, or a pair of wethers is a good start for someone new to goats.
I'm likely too far away to be convenient, but I am expecting registered Nigerian Dwarf kids in April, May, and June. Two doelings are already spoken for, but since three of my expecting does have had triplets, I would guess there will be plenty of kids on the ground (hopefully not all boys!).
