Goats!!!

Hey all,


We just got an offer for 1 or two baby goats from our freinds, I belive for FREE!!!! I have a dog, and 18 choocks, and ALOT of weeds. Do you think we should accept. And if yes, can u give me the major info on goats, behavior, housing, needs etc????

Get both of them. You should never have just one as they get lonely. TSC has some good books on Goats. Also do an internet search. You can also try going to www.fiascofarm.com

lso if its a doe and buck wether the buck unless they arent kin and you want babies...smarter taht way as bucks can and do get really smelly. Congrats...

And the thing not mentioned is that we are all Enablers! Get the goats! There is no such thing as a goat. Just GOATS. Always plural. Have fun and check both sites BYC and BYH.

TOTALLY!! you won't regret it you might as well get more then the two because a few days in you will be so addicted you will want more

TSC does have some great books if you have more then goats my favorite book is barnyard in your backyard, but here is a few things that might help.

It is according to if they are mini's or standard size, housing could be a big dog house with a small fenced in area (as big as you can make it hehe)
goats are pretty simple goat feed, water, hay, and that's all there is to it besides clipping hooves every once in a while. Here is a pic

Goats are yet another major addition. I have 6 (all purchased in the last 3 weeks) and 1 on his way (June 22) and I'm looking for 2 to 3 more! I know you all are enablers (so am I) but come on... make me stop. After 10 goats I won't have the "proper" space for them all! I have to stop! ha ha ha

Beware... they are addictive. But I TOTALLY agree with everyone else. GET THOSE GOATS. You will absolutely love them!
