Gobbler Snood has an injury or...?

My gobbler has developed this hard black, crusty knot on the end of his snood. Any idea if this is an injury, or infection, or...?

First of all, welcome to BYC!

It looks like a scab to me and should heal on its own. A snood is a popular thing for everyone else to grab and pull. I've even seen my own toms accidentally bite and even swallow their own snoods.

This just maked me lol today. Seems like yep somethin that would happen round here..... if our boy HAD his snood. :/.

Appreciate it... So, should I just let it go for a few more days and see what it does? And you're right, he often does end up with it in his mouth while eating.
