We are taking a quick trip away this weekend and I currently have Ayam Cemani eggs in our Nurture Right 360 incubator. Its super dry in my area in the winter so I find myself adding water every 2 days or so. The eggs have 11 days from hatching.

We are leaving this Friday and will return home Monday. I have someone coming out to throw hay and water to our outside animals but I really am not comfortable with having them in the house and we are boarding our dogs and such so there isn't a reason for them to be in.

So here's my predicament. I can add water before I leave Friday but I fear it will not be enough to maintain the humidity all the way until Monday and the humidity may drop a bit.

Here's the options I can think of, what are your thoughts?
#1 Fill as normal and if it drops to 40% or so it'll be fine for a day
#2 Fill the "B" compartment a little which means it'll have a slightly too high humidity for a day or two but should last until I get back [Normally the "B" compartment isn't used until lock down]
#3 Drive them about an hour away to a family members house to set up and then drive them back another hour on Monday

They should be fine, go with #1. I incubate at 35% humidity throughout incubation and it's fine. Humidity doesn't matter much at this stage, esp. if it's not for long periods of time (several days).

#1 or #2 depending on your comfort level. Not a big deal either way.

I'm in a high desert region. When mine runs dry the humidity is single digits! Normal for me with wells filled is high 30's low 40's. I've hatched many chicks successfully.
