Some of you may remember i had 2 of my Pekins inside over thanksgiving, one had a terrible bumble and the other had some variety of leg strain, so to ensure each had a buddy and to work on the foot and keep it clean I brought them in and set them up in the basement. Well it got cold, the bumblefoot cleared up with drawing salve and a duck boot, and the limping, its hard to say but it seems better. I haven’t dared take them back out to the flock because they have been in a 50 degree basement all winter. We are getting 2 weeks of warm weather, and i really would like them back outside with the flock.
Opinions?

My only concern is that the weather could change with very little warning. Right now, it looks appropriate, but you know how inaccurate weather predictions are. That being said, look at the crazy rapid temperature changes all the outside birds have lived through this winter. I think I’d give it a try if they were my birds. The next time we’ll have reliably mild temps will be mid to late April.

How are Sir Winston and Scuba doing?
So far, so good, he seems to have a healthy libido at any rate, Scuba is still the slowest moving of the bunch, but they are all happy to be back together, i was always a little worried, but with him as the only drake, and her being not at the top of the pecking order it all seems to have gone fine. I am am a little concerned about fridays weather, but they have a nice tight house and i will fluff up the shaving situation tomorrow.
