I had some good instructors too, but from what I understand from others whom went to Indiana's ONLY PUBLIC JR COLLEGE it is system wide (over all 13 campuses) about the some of instructors and MANY staff members being sub-par. but as I said for a public 2 year school your options are either this school or nothing. We have some private 2-year schools and they are hit and miss from what I hear from friends and family whom went there or had a close friend or family with first hand experience with them. The religious 2 year schools from everything I hear are for the most part good but when dealing with any private school is transfering of credits if you wish to further your degree the chances of being able to do that are anywhere from nothing or just a handful of classes. But then again most of the private colleges are usually specific blue collar job type schools where one doesn't need to worry about transfering like beauty colleges, auto repair schools, and the like. I knew someone (an aquantince) whom was going to one of the private auto repair schools and he was going for diesel repair, and he told me he would graduate with a certificate, I asked and he told me the school was set up for certain courses being so many weeks long and you just took 1 or 2 classes per week for something like 6 weeks and then you switched to the next level of classes and I asked if he could get an AAS degree and he said yes but he didn't want to spend 3 more months in school knowing few employers would ask for a degree and would just want the certification from the regulators over auto mechanics.
