going on a chicken/turkey run

got a message that some silkies we were waiting on, from a breeder near us, are hatched...so my daughter gets her babies!

oh, and the breeder just slipped this into the conversation....

Breeder: "Those Blue Slates are hatched out also. Oh, and Javas and Blue Orps!"

Me: "Are you home tonight? WHAT! BLUE ORPS! I'll be over tonight!"

Looks like we're bringing home some new babies!

I'll post some pics when we get the darlings home safe and snuggly!

they are home! i will post pics in a.m., as we are all tuckered here.

we brought home 2 black silkies and i am unsure of the color of other, will need some help there. that one has a leg that is a little 'off'. the breeder gave her to my daughter free, due to the deformity. she hobbles around fine. DD is going to be her nurse.

also purchased 3 slate turkeys. they are adorable!

got to hold the cutest buckling! he was only days old. i tried to put him in my purse and leave, but she caught me!
