Going on vacation.

Hello... we're going on vacation in September and I just want to be prepared before the time comes... have you ever paid someone to care for your chickens while your gone? We will be gone for 9 days in September. I'll have three 5 gallon waters and a feeder that holds 50 pounds of feed. So I know they won't need to much care food/water wise... just gather the eggs and throw some treats really lol.. what do you think is a fair pay for me to charge someone? It will most likely be a neighbor.. so the person won't be driving..

Some people just let the “chicken-sitter” keep any eggs that are laid as payment.

I had 22 chickens last year when I went on vacation and I paid my cousin who also has chickens to come and check on them everyday

We pay by giving them some Money and whatever eggs they picked
