going out of town now predecting heat wave

so I am going out of town wed night till monday am my mother will be here to take care of my 4 four month old chickens but this summer my buff orphington not handling heat well. so the news just pradcited our weather wed - sat to be abouve 111 so here where i live we are looking 120 there coop is in shade from 12pm on but my girls are used to being indoors during heat of day I can take them with me but we are looking at 4 hour drive and they would be locked up the whole time up there on mt due to preadtors encluding bears and big cats. my mother is almost 70 and to get to the chickens she has to go down 2 flights of stairs so she is limited to goign in the am and pm 1 time each. my othere 3 can handle the heat better shold i just take my buff orphinton with me I just dont know what to do im even thinking abotu cancling the trip it sucks cuz this whole week we have only been 101 and now decide to heat up when i leave town

Honestly I'd get a dog carrier and take them all with me if I were you.

They would prefer to be cool in a cage than 120.

They will be fine locked up in the cage for a few days. Do the paper towel thing at the bottom of the cage and you can throw it out as needed. Food and water dishes, cool as a cucumber!

Take your fishnet with you in case they run away from you or something LOL.
