I was wondering what everyone is selling their quail eggs for? For eating not for hatching!

Thanks!

Well I'm probably of no help bsince this is my first time selling quail eggs for eatin but I sell mine for 2.50 a dozen but I have no idea if thats a good price, so hopefully somebody gives us a better answer.

thats kina what I was thinking he seems to selling most of what he brings alot of folks on vacation have a hard time believing Va Beach has a farmers market a lot of tourist's come through here he drives down from the eastern shore to the beach ( 40-50 miles ) and pays a $ 15 toll aprox he also sells pairs and trios and laying hens ( chickens )

something is only worth what the buyer will pay & the seller will sell it for.

If you think his prices are to high & you could make a resonable profit by selling for less then set up your own both. He will ether drop his price, relocate, find a new income, or just wait for you to find out it isn,t worth what you are makeing & move back out of his way.

We sell our this way we charge 2.00 a doz but only sell 2 doz at a time and we put them in the nice plastic egg carton for 5.00. We tell them we get the carton back on the next order we discount it $1.00 it helps recycle and keeps the cost down

I try to decided what I would pay then decided if it is worth my time to sell it for that & that's how I come up with my price. When I find people makeing a unreasonable profit is where I like to sell. I'm trying to change the world by myself 1 thing at a time.

To the OP: $1.50 to $3 sounds fair to me for 12 eggs.

I try to figure how much something cost to produce the add enough to pay myself with a little bit of profit added in, if it is unreasonable then people will not pay that amount if they pay it they must not consider it unreasonable

The gentleman selling at the farm market for $5 /10 sells them as hatching eggs if the folks buying them end up eating them that is their buesness I think alot of who he sells to ends up in delis at the ocean front
