Going rate for these roosters?

I currently have two roosters that are mixed breeds. They were part of my first ever batch of chickens last August 2009, they were about 2-3 months then. Since that time I have become a chicken junkie

I really enjoy my birds, and have added quite a few to our flock family. However, I am wanting to get a roo that I know what breed he is, so I am wanting to rehome the two mixed roos that I have now. These guys have never shown any aggression towards our family or the dogs. They are pretty laid back roos. They even work as a team (hopefully this will last) protecting their girls. However the roo in the second picture seems to be the head in command. These guys are small, they probably weigh about 1- 1 1/2 pounds each.

I don't have it in me to make roo stew so I am going to try and sell them. In your opinion what would I even begin to charge for them?

Usually any crossbred, hatchery-bred, or just . . . Any rooster, can go for $5 or even free.

The only roosters I've seen exceed 10 dollars are purebred of good quality then there's show roosters who can go for over $50 each.

Those boys are really pretty though.

$2 is all I'd pay.... 3 maybe cuz they are so pretty!

They are very attractive roosters, but realistically they have no value. If you could find someone who wants a pretty rooster for their backyard flock, be thankful and give them away.

Take them to a small animal auction - you'll probablly get $6 or $7 each on them. I took some extra roos this past week and got $10 ea but they were bigger roos. The cheapest I saw one go for was $5.

I know it depends on the auction because at the McAlpine they go from $3 on up to $30 depends on whose there!!! Just a thought - at least it'll buy a small bag of feed.
