I love how this kind of plays out for the ducklings.

*Ducklings mill around the stair bottom.*

Duckling: "This is hard. How do we to mom?"

*Child picks up duckling and walks up the stairs.*

Duckling: "Ahhhhhh! OMG! It's gonna eat me! I'm gonna die!"

*Child puts the duckling down at the top of the stairs and goes back for another one.*

Duckling: "Oh, hi mom." *runs to her*

My Mum scored a local victory back home in Hagerstown MD by pushing the city to post a duck crossing sign at our small park Pangborn City Park

It pays dividends to know the right officials to email and call. Our Mayor and councilman were blindingly responsive and two signs were installed within a week or two? I was impressed. Good people are everywhere when you look around!
