Going to feed store is always funny

Haha, but its too much fun! Becides, I can't get rid of the fancy car! It's my second hobby, I can't go to lexus meets with a diapered chicken on a leash without actually having a lexus!

Not to mention the cars get WAY better gas mileage than a SUV or Truck. I know mine does--not to mention its a manual. If we get a truck it will be for those feed store and haulin errands! Look at the price of gas!

I have a honda civic hatchback, and the guys at the feed store got a real kick out of me putting a bale of straw in the back!

HAHA a picture of a civic with a 60 lb bale of hay! How does it fit!

Now to start the gas mileage thread... I run premium and get about 18 to the gallon on good tanks. darn gas... cheapest in this area is 3.59 right now for 92 octane! My last tank was 55 bucks. Grrr....

I don't have a sporty car, but am in complete love with my convertible VW bug. I have yet to try picking up straw, but it was hilarious watching the guy oh-so-carefully trying to maneuver a 50lb bag of starter feed into the trunk. I just smiled and reminded him that it wasn't made out of glass.

here it's that price for the cheapest stuff! It'll be $4/gal by memorial day...I'd bet $$$ on it!

my last tank cost me $70+.....of course it's a big truck with a big tank and a bigger appetite!

Yeah, no kidding. It's that bad down here in So. Cal too. I'll be buying a small to mid sized SUV (XTerra in mind) in a couple of months and though it'd be great to have a 4 cylinder like a CR-V, it's hilly down here. So I'm looking for a 6, but certainly avoiding any 8s and above. Too thirsty for these prices.

BTW...anyone on here have an XTerra? I'd like some input on it.

Thanks

Filled up both my trucks today at $2.85 a gallon. One took $87 and the other took $63. Had to pick up about 400 pounds of food for the pets, and some pigs and more chics. Think I will try to get a bail of hay on my motorcycle today. LOL.

It's amazing how different the prices of fuel are. Here in mid-east Pa we are paying 2.87 for 87 octaine. Cost me 48.00 to fill up a Ford Explorer 6 cyl. I've been looking for a different car too, but everything I like is a gas hog.
