Would love to see your supply storage set ups! Looking for ideas!

Sooner or later rodents will chew into those plastic bins!
Two recommendations here, both learned the hard way by me: Use metal garbage cans, on bricks or some surface that isn't damp, and keep the feed in it's bag from the feed store, so you have the lot numbers on it.
Of course you buy feed that's fresh as possible, by each bag's mill date, and store it all on a dry surface, so that garbage can doesn't rot on the bottom.
If there's ever an issues with the feed, having it in it's original bag makes it easier to talk to the manufacturer.

10 years on ours and nothing chewed through. We have scent deterrent packets out there plus two cats though so maybe keeping the majority away.

This! I do have mice and voles (no rats here thank god) but we have sort of an understanding 😂 if they leave my stuff alone I make sure the cats leave them alone LOL and a steady peace has held over the years, plus I have been keeping my other livestock feed out there in plastic bins much cheaper thinner plastic bins than these new ones for also 8 years with no issues (not that I dont agree that some people may have way worse rodent issues than me and could absolutely have issues with the plastic! to each their own), that and the mice seem to prefer my glove box and inside my car unfortunately more than they are interested in all the feed which I find strange LOL 😆

This is my disaster currently 😂😂

What I ended up doing is ordering two sets of 2 laundry room cabinets that ill put up on the garage wall and then some clear storage cubes and I think like others in here suggested I will put the bins under the shelf and then all the bits and bobs in the cabinets or on the cubes or in the cubes on top of the Shelf. However I am open to suggestions if seeing my setup or my space inspires you with any ideas of something that would work better. this isn't just chicken stuff this is also a lot of gardening stuff and boxes of fencing and garden beds and stuff for the spring I have to build too that will be gone by the summer as well but the clutter is driving me nuts 😂😂

Hindsight being 20/20, you should have posted this in your first post! 🫣
But hey, it was a good convo along the way, so it worked out great!

I was first going to suggest you lower that wooden shelf that's there to the top of your highest bin or bucket. Until I saw how reinforced it is. I'd leave that right where it is! Then above, you could put your cupboards or more shelves, whatever you think works best.

Under that shelf though, for shorter stuff, you could build a shelf. Here's a YouTube for a rudimentary one, which is all you need.

Yeah I took this picture this afternoon after thinking about the post, I definitely should have waited to post this until I had it haha

Also thank you! I will definitely check that link out! The tall bins have like 8ish inches of clearance if theyre under the shelf but the short bins definitely could use the shelves youre talking about!

And agreed I think I'll do the clear storage cubes on top of the shelf and then the clear windowed cabinets up on the wall above those, I picked stuff that was clear or had windows because in my ADHD head out of sight is out of mind and I'll completely forget I have stuff or I'll forget how much of stuff I have, so trying to get organized without putting stuff out of sight haha

I have my birds feed in a Vittles Vault on my back porch. I'm on the Gulf Coast so our entire world is moist. There are rats (good dog!) and mice (good cat!) in the area. In 3 1/2 years of continuous use my feed has not been damaged by moisture nor have pets gotten inside. I do occasionally have to pour a bit of water off the lid before opening it. I keep a 2 quart scoop in the container with feed.

We have found the same. Metal garbage cans with metal lids on bricks or a paver and always keep feed in original bag inside the can. Rodent & weather proof. I'm sure in a garage you could put wheels on bottoms.

I have a metal trash can in the barn, I just put the feed bag straight in it and scoop it with a big yogurt container. Meds and stuff I keep on a shelf in the basement with all the other animals stuff that can't freeze. No clutter.

This is exactly what I do!

Thanks! I love my feed storage containers, this is more looking for how everyone has their supplies organized and where they put everything like you said porch, or garage shed etc. Those vault containers look cool!
