I finally got around to starting a coop for my daughter that she was promised several years ago. I am going to do this on a tight budget, repurposing where possible. I had seen an ad on our local Craigslist for free pallets. I did go and pick some up thinking I could disassemble and use the wood and be done. Come to find out the wood used in the big heavy pallets was cheap at best. I was able to use part of one for the floor. I got the basic box put together yesterday after looking at numerous designs for a week or more. Heres where we are so far:

this looks great! I need to build a temp coop to house my 9 chicks while we rebuild my Dutch Barn,,I like what you did and may steal your ideas:))
