Going to need help

I think were going to need some help. I went to the auction and all I bought was 5 doz. eggs listed as cold eggs for eating. When I got home I saw some of the eggs were small some large some brown some white. We went to cook them and saw they were all fertile and some had blood spots in them so we put 2 doz in the bator. Started Lock down on 15 eggs of every size and color. How hard is going to be to tell what kind of chickens? I think this is going to be a blast trying to find out.

I have have in my bators 2 dozen auction eggs,one dozen is due to hatch next week and doing well,and the other dozen i just put in saturday.
The only way i would be able to tell what they are is wait for em to grow up,and still they could be mixed and we may never know.
Acually mine will be all sold after they hatch as i just needed more stuff to hatch...
But its gonna be fun to see what hatches out....

my guess would be mixes... a lot of people (at least around here) don't separate their chickens by breed unless they show them

eta- you can still post pics and we can try to figure it out

my first hatch were mixes, people we got the eggs from didn't know what breed chickens they had and the roo got killed by their dog so I didn't see it. Didn't completely figure it out till they started laying(egg color was white w/overlay of brown) but we will try

Just because " some had blood spots " may not mean that they are actually fertile. If you want to try to incubate them you will know in about 3-5 days which ones have started by candling them. If you dont want to incubate them they are perfectly fine to eat just keep refrigerated.

so far I have 11 chicks10 yellow fuzzy butts one gray speckled it came from the white egg.
