Craigslist always has free roosters... I am going to PAY someone to take mine! I just posted an ad, offering $3 if someone will take my dang rooster off my hands! He is torturing my Buff Orpington, ripped all the feathers off her neck, and possibly ruined her eye. I caught her yesterday to see just how bad the feather loss was, and the pupil of one eye is cloudy. I am pretty sure he did it, since he is BRUTAL with her... so that's the last straw. If I could kill something, I'd kill him, just for that. All the other hens submit, but Esther won't... but he catches her eventually, and forces her... she screams and fights, but he's bigger. It makes me FURIOUS. so he's outta here... anyone else ever paid someone to take a rooster? or is it just me?
