You are right, it is my food, it won't taste any different and personally, I'm not processing in the rain and mud, I see you live in Ohio also, The rain only stops on the days I work then it rains on my days off, I commend those who are that dedicated, me not so much. I raised them nicely, they got to free range, got goodies, visited the garden, pond, woods and had a safe and warm place to sleep, I see nothing wrong with having someone else do the dirty work, people have to make a living too. Please don't look down on those of us who chose not do it ourselves

) I can garp the list if you like and PM you when I get back.

Oh thank you! I will call the number, but if you can "garp" me the list that would be great.....(Um....I don't know what garp means.....) LOL

When I went into Meyer, one of the other girls had the list in the office training someone, I don't know. As for the "garp" thing don't know what happened, I try very hard to use spell check, I even think I changed it to that. I'm a horrible speller. Just give them a call. I think there was at least 3, maybe more. The processor that I went to is run by an Amish family (I think, they dressed Amish, but had phones and electricity, maybe it was just where they worked) It was nice and clean. I think they do everything there. It was in Shiloe, that's probably a bit to far, for processing. You are at least an hour from me and I was 30 min. Might not have been that long except it was raining and the road the GPS told us to take was flooding. But any who good luck I will ask around.

Well ya know, i feel it takes time for some folk to learn, feel and get through the process of butchering a chicken. This process comes more naturally for some than others, but no one should be.....ahhhhh..well...you know... If we stick to it, we will learn and get there, if we so desire. Many of use just don't have the time, the know how or desire to do it ourselves, thats okay... If we butcher our own birds or have someone else do it, were still ahead of the game and learning...IMO
