Wow, keeping someone following dr's orders for 6 to 8 weeks for a broken bone is very hard, you have my total sympathies! DS broke his arm at the elbow, and within 4 weeks was using the cast as a lever while cutting down trees, and other farmwork. And let their horse amuse itself by biting the cast. Needless to say, he went through a few casts, it never healed right and had to have surgery later.

I can't imagine how much more frustrating it would be to keep someone off their feet!

AND puppies? Yowsa!

He threw one of his crutches this morning when he couldn't move exactly like he wanted to.
Me and the puppies are just trying to stay out of the way.

back to you hon. Just teasing about the chicks but DO have them load the dogfood for you - don't lift those heavy bags yourself. Our TSC only has bunnies right now - no chicklets or ducklets...probably a good thing because I don't think I could resist a couple of little duckies!!

If I can pick up a chick at my feed store, cuddle it, then put it back and walk out with only my dog food - then I'm sure you can too!

Hope your DH's ankle heals quickly, I know how hard it can be to keep off of an injury and follow Dr's orders.

I got dog food, chicken feed, some dog treats, some new dog leashes - Harley Davidson ones

but no chickies and no duckies (although the ducks were especially cute!).
Stupid me. Struggling to get the 35 lbs. of dog food and 50 lbs. of chicken feed in the jeep and I couldn't put the back seat forward because of DH's crutches. So I sat the lighter bag (dog food) behind the seat and dropped the chix feed on the backseat. When I got home I had to figure out how to drag the chix feed back over the seat.

You give me hope for tomorrow. I have to go to TSC for dog food and I'm afraid...... Send me some of your strength (both to resist any animalia and to carry the dog food and scratch!)

What? You're supposed to rest broken bones??

I didn't even go in for a cast till it was a week old injury.....so they gave me this metal splinty thing and they said leave it on for 4-6 weeks, but I got rid of it by 3

No ill after-effects.
Maybe it wasn't as bad of break? Or maybe just coz I was younger at the time?
