There
are several combinations for producing Red Sexlinks, but basicly you need a roo with gold genes ( RIR, NHR, Buff, Partridge, ect ) on hens with silver genes ( RIWs, Delawares, Columbian colored birds, Silver laced, or Silver penciled birds) ( Breeds like White Rocks and White Wyandottes wouldn't be good to use because you can't tell what colors they are masking under the white and they don't always carry the gold genes, and White Leghorns aren't good either because they usually have dominant white.

If you are wanting golden sexlink with hens that are red/gold with white tails, you should use RIWhite hens on a gold roo. ( I will be using a Buff Orp roo on RIW hens to make mine)

If you want red sexlinks with the hens being red/gold with black tails ( looking like RIRs), you should use Delawares or a Columbian colored breed.
