In my limited knowledge of raising a Gold Deathlayer pullet and researching developing rates, wattles would very, very likely indicate it’s a cockerel. At that age mine had almost no comb or wattle growth. I also fed her gamebird starter because I had read a lot about the breed being inbred/having early cases of death and having different nutritional needs. So she was very fast to mature due to diet. Since there is only one imported line to my knowledge, there shouldn’t be much variance in maturity rates. My thoughts are if my girl had zero wattles growth, good development almost certainly indicates male.I will get actual pics one back from camping trip. At 8 weeks he has a good development of waddles.
