I bought two gold laced Wyandotte pullets and there was one more left in the tank, they gave it to me for free rather then leave it alone.

All three are cuties, but this last one is noticeably smaller than the other two and was at 2 days old. Is it just a lovable runt, or could it be a bantam? Or, are bantams just true breeding runts of standard.

Or - could it be a roo in disguise. They are all feathering more slowly than the isa brown and the welsummer. The small one has the same back markings of the wyandottes, but paler and the side of the face markings are very pale and small, like they were partially erased. They are about 2 weeks old now.

(sorry for the word runt, not meant as a pejorative, just descriptive) .

Here are a couple. In first and second pic she is the one far right. Same age as all other peeps. The face markings are there, but very faint.

I'm wondering. I've been looking at google images all morning and she looks a little like a silver laced. Her belly is greyer and the markings on the side of her head may be grey as well. Also, head is blacker than the other two who have a brown patch in top.

It's hard to take pictures of her. She tends to run for a group of chicks and dive into the middle of them, head first. She's done that from the first day.

Silver laced Wyandotte’s usually have more lighter colored markings on their face. However it does have the correct leg color. You will be able to tell a lot easier over the next few weeks as the feathers start growing in. There are MANY chicks that have similar markings.

They look well taken care of! Great job and good luck!
