Good Evening.
I haven’t had the best of luck with chicks this year. I ordered most from a hatchery and think I have two boys. (One is obvious, it’s a BCM at 8 weeks and has a large comb unlike my others). But then I have this polish.. He was named Dwayne the Puff Johnson… thinking he was going to have a “puff” but it’s starting to look very Pointy. He was getting beat up by the other chicks so I removed him and he is in with a little younger gang.
But he is very mean to everyone in there (after 2 weeks).
So now; if he is a boy, he maybe on his way out of the flock as I already have a few straight runs (which are most likely boys - at 4 weeks old they already are developing quickly).

What do you think about Dwayne?

I’ll guess cockerel based on his behavior & crazier hairdo… but still no wattles, so maybe I’m wrong! (Though I’ve seen wattles on the laced polish May make a sudden appearance at 11/12 weeks, so you should know soon.)
Can you get a photo from in front looking head on at the crest? And a closer pic of wattle & comb areas maybe?

Not much for wattles…& I can’t see the comb, but laced bearded polish don’t get much comb & have small wattles for a while (the white crested polish are easier to tell by wattles/combs)… so I guess you have to keep waiting.
Here’s a similar thread… if you scroll down you can see a gold laced pair both with small wattles, but the feathering is different.
Sorry I’m of no real help!
