Gold sebrite Chicks from TSC dying

Has anyone been having issues with gold sebrite chicks they have purchased out of the assorted bantams selection at Tractor Supply Stores? I have spoken with several people including myself, that have had several bacthes of them dying before they it the 2 week od mark. Most of them are just fine one day and dead the next, but one I got exhibited signs of wry neck and paralisys. I was told by an old time breeder that they were sensitive to medicated feed, so i put them all on game crumbles. Out of 2 dozen of them I have purchased over the last month, only one has made it to the 4 week old mark, and I have one that just hit the week old mark.

i just bought 7 bantam chicks from a feed store and i am feeding them purina start and grow. is this what you feed?

sebright chicks are supposed to be especially delicate. I am getting 6 in May so if anyone knows the problem I would also like to know so mine dont die.

I've had a few of them from TSC, never had a problem. They were quite feisty actually!

sooo no medicated feed for sebrights? hmmmmmm that will be a problem since I am getting them with other breeds (d'uccles and silkies). Suggestions? (sorry if you feel like I am taking over your thread darbella)
