Golden comets are a brand name for a commercial hybrid developed, I believe, by a company called Hubbard.
Red sex link is a name that can be applied to any cross breed which uses a male which is pure for sex linked gold & a female which is sex linked silver. The difference betwen male & female chicks is apparent by down colour at hatch.
A Golden Comert is probably a gold (red) sex link but a red sex link is not necessarily a Golden Comet.

I can't really answer that question... I know they are a sex link type of chicken, but I don't know if they would be exactly the same as a red sex link. I do know they are terrific birds! They lay everyday winter and summer. Only every now and then will one skip a day... just excellent layers if you are looking for eggs!
