Golden comet roo bred with FBCM

I couldn't find any information on a golden comet roo breeding with french black copper marans. So if anyone is curious here are the little cuties.

So what is the point of the cross? Or is it just what you had on hand?

We had only 7 hens and a roo. We wanted to have a larger flock and my little ones wanted to incubate some eggs.

You had a Golden Comet Roo???? I stopped just to see that. I though most were culled at hatch, since only the pullets have commercial value.

Yup! He's so beautiful. Bought him last year at Cal Ranch. He is such a good rooster. He is extremely gentle with the hens.

They do. Soooo adorable. I'm in chick heaven right now. Lol

I wouldn't mind having two rooster's. There are few farmers in the area that have dibs on any extra roosters. Lol.
