Golden Comets, like any other hybrid for production, will lay large eggs just about every day for their first year, then burn out. Black Australorps will also lay decent sized eggs almost every day, but won't burn out as much. Since both are common hatchery birds though - They'll both give a good promise of enough eggs.

Thanks! I was not sure. I have both, the comets haven't reached point of lay yet.. But our Aussies lay big brown eggs daily! I love them. I knew they were both awesome layers, just didn't know which was better.
