Golden Cuckoo Maran and Sex Links

We have a purebreed GCM rooster and a mix of red and black sex link hens. My son wants to hatch chicks. Would you be able to determine gender by color with this combo?

No. The genetics have to be set up a certain way to get sex links. When you make sex links you mix up the genetics so the hens are not set up properly.

The rooster has gold, the red sex link hens have gold. You cannot make a red sex link. The hens are not barred so you cannot make a back sex link.
