Your odd man looks a lot like my welsummer chicks though I'm not an expert by any means. Do your marans lay dark brown eggs? Welsummers do.

I think that "partridge pattern" in Marans is a salmon - I absolutely forget what they are called in Marans properly but it's their equivalent of a reddish chested partridge bird. Very pretty animals. Basically you had one revert to the wild type. Should be neat to watch grow up.

I had a little chimpumunk one hatch just like that in my Golden Cuckoos and I think its a girl she is coloring up just like one of the other darker girls, her feathers are coming in the normal golden color.

here was my hatch you can see the little chimpunkie sorta out in front
