FYI - Jacob Bates in Arkansas has been working on Golden Duckwing Leghorns too.
P.S. Yes...the differences between the UK Leghorn and APA leghorn are quite significant. The overgrown combs and 1 pound heavier weight has already been mentioned. I will add that the UK Show winning hens have not fan to their tails. The tail comes to a point. I could be wrong but I believe that the UK Leghorns have a downward sloping back (no curves allowed) where as the APA leghorn has a curved back. The UK standard also requires the blade of the comb to follow the line of the neck with up to 7 points allowed where the APA leghorn requires the blade to be horizontal with the ground and to have 5 points. The UK Leghorn is really much more like the APA Andalusia than the APA Leghorn in type.
P.P.S. The Golden Duck wind does NOT breed true. Golden X Golden produces 50% golden, 25% silver (culls due to the introduction of Red Enhancement) and 25% Light Brown.
