Does a comb heal like skin? There's a hole on his comb that you can see straight through.

It might heal all the way up.
Looks like he has a bit of fowl pox. You can apply iodine to the scab to help them heal up and fall off.
If the girls are pecking at it you may have to put some pick no more or something similar on it to see if they will leave it alone.
