and Welcome To BYC! Having just gotten the GFM and activated the Turn Off Ads, yes it is worth it just for that ... especially if you have a slow internet connection, I wish I had gotten it a couple of years ago!

Same here, except I'm still new enough that I wish I'd done it months ago! But the biggest reason I finally bit the bullet and did it was because of all the support I get right here - if I can give a little support back, I'm happy to do it!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I have a free six month Golden Feather that was awarded to me. I haven't used any of the privileges that go along with it yet, so I'm not the best member to tell you whether or not it is worth paying for.
