Actually it could be from any of my three hens as I really forgot to mark them somehow.
Anyways here are the possible mothers.

This I think is the mom as if I recall correctly most of the chicks that hatched were from her eggs.

And this is his brother with the same color pattern but straight comb

I would really like to start a breeding program to try to create a Golden Laced green egg laying chicken, but I need some help understanding the golden laced gene, anybody has any input on this?
If i just cross it with snother golden laced birds will I get golden laced off spring?
Thanks in advance

There are two kinds of single lacing, one is Birchen at the E locus (example being laced Polish) and the other is partridge at the E locus (example: laced Wyandottes). Which one do you want?

Well I want to use this rooster that hatched out as a start, and seems like he has his coloring more like a golden laced wyandotte, so I think I'll shoot for the golden Laced whyandotte color.

I have 2 gorgeous golden lace bantam ee looking for a new home. I don't want to eat because they have such nice coloring. One is golden with blue and the other gold with black.

Your rooster is most likely Birchen/Duckwing at the E locus. So if you breed him to a golden laced Wyandotte, half of his offspring will be Birchen/partridge and the other half will be Duckwing/Partridge. If you then mate the F1s together about 25% will be partridge at the E locus. If you then breed these together or to laced Wyandottes, you should get some good laced birds.
