One of my Golden Laced Wyandotte girls laid her first egg a couple of days ago. She's in a tank brooder because she was being picked on my roo and was stressed. I found the egg smashed yesterday in her pen, so she laid it sometime between Thursday, when I cleaned her pen, and when I cleaned her pen yesterday. it was BLUE!!! Ummmm, what the what?!? None of my other Wyandottes lay blue eggs.... I have two of her "sisters" and their eggs are beige. Should I be concerned....? She is definitely a Golden Laced and doesn't look like anything else...

Can you post a picture ? A purebred golden laced Wyandotte is highly improbable to lay a blue egg.
This is my Golden girl who laid the blue egg. Her tail is a little rough from my roo 😭, otherwise she's normally so pretty!

She could be a mix...where did you get her?
Pics of egg?
From a local farm that only has/sells Wyandottes. I wish I had pics of the egg. It was smashed and I discovered it as I was scooping out the bedding. I'm hoping her next one is blue too.

The light beige one came from one of the other gold Laced girls I got from the farm. Yet, Miss Honey lays a blue eggs. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't really care about the color...as much as I was wondering if it meant there could be something wrong with my chicken. I didn't see any other chicken breeds (Just various Wyandottes) on the farm where/when I got my chicks.

Should I be concerned....?
About the color of the egg shell? That is not a health issue. There is no disease that will cause a hen to lay a blue egg.

She is definitely a Golden Laced and doesn't look like anything else...
There is nothing about feather color or pattern that relates to egg shell color. Here are some of my former blue or green egg layers. That's mottling, not lacing, but they can look any which way. One of them even had a single comb, not pea. I can't tell from your photo if that is a pea comb or a rose comb, but since you are so sure it is a Wyandotte I'll assume rose.

My guess is that your blue egg layer laid that egg. Somehow it got in there before it was locked and was smashed. Strange things happen in this world.

From your photo her comb is pretty red. I expect her to start laying really soon. Regardless of what color egg shell she lays it has nothing to do with her health.
