There isn’t a crown! No feathers have been damaged.Cockerel. Sorry.
A good comb picture could help confirm. However, the crest feathers look pointed to me, and that means cockerel, unless the feathers there have been damaged.
There is one, but it is buried in the feathers, and it is different than the combs of most breeds. I'm attaching a picture of the comb on a full grown rooster, just so you know what it looks like. Yours is likely smaller, but if it isn't tiny and is red, then probably a cockerel. There isn’t a crown! No feathers have been damaged.
Thanks for the picture! I’ll look again tomorrow. I’ve looked before and have seen nothing. Easy to miss. I hope it turns out to be a pullet! Thanks for the picture! I’ll look again tomorrow. I’ve looked before and have seen nothing. Maybe I looked too soon.
If only we could. I'd wave a magic wand and make everyone get what they want.If it is a cockerel, it's not our fault - we don't have powers to change it
No, I didn't take your comments that way at all. I just hoped it turned out to be a pullet because that's what most folks wantView attachment 1415765 Took a picture for you to see, but I couldn’t see anything resembling a comb to my knowledge which obviously isn’t very big. Lol.
And reading the comments above I am sorry if it came across that I was upset at you for thinking Chocolate was a cockerel. I am NOT and am very Thankful for your help!
