Golden Laced Wyandotte no tail?

I don't see a tail issue. It will grow in, they are just now getting feathers and they all don't do it exactly the same way.
My SLW has no tail and I asked the same question. So there is a possibility of a pattern maybe. She is 5 weeks and still barely any tail feathers.

No tail is male. IMO is the chick slow in feathering in other places? Wait I see the photos. Definately different. When I pick out my chick's at the store I get the most feathered to get pullets. So far I have never picked a male.

The statement I made above is from my experience and not based on science. I have NEVER claimed this to be true. Apologies in advance to anyone who is offended by My Opinion.

This hasn't been true for me. I never picked any males at the feed store and I choose ones with all kinds of growth rates, but I always get auto breeds. When hatching on my own, females have feathered in drastically slow as well, so I would say that its just a myth.

I agree. No issues, totally normal. Different chicks mature at different speeds.
Agreed.

Have you been picking out of pullet bins? ;)

I see. My opinion is a myth. It is my opinion and I stand by it. Your opinion matters too. I will never debate it. I don't know why you felt the need to.

You do know that picking out of a pullet bin is not 100% guarantee unless it's a sexlink. Please feel free to help the original poster with their questions.my comment was not up for debate.

I'm just claiming and supporting my idea and my opinion as well. Its not that I think your lying, I am just saying what has worked and not worked for me.

But I am not the original poster asking for your help. We're getting off course from the original question by debating amongst ourselves. Do you see what I'm saying?

Indeed. But the chances are much higher. You get people who grab chicks of all feathering rates and have never ended up with a cockerel. I just really don't think you have given enough data for your method to even have a chance of being considered reliable.
