Golden Malrin? Has anyone used in run for flies?

I got a recommendation for this fly bait- sounds great, but worried about toxicity using too close to coop....if the chickens were to "find" a dead fly and eat it, they would be poisioned? My husband has sprayed Pyretrhine sp? and this is supposedly safe around them? The Flies are starting to get out of hand!
