I've had this hen for a few years now, she's very friendly, will perch on my hand for peanuts etc, but recently she's become...dribbly. I've noticed it a couple of times when she'll lower her head to eat and will just drool over it as she picks it up. Yesterday I got a bit more concerned because the drool started bubbling out of her mouth and looked worse than it probably was.
Only been going on for a month or so, I checked her mouth yesterday and there's no signs of canker or sinus infections, her breathing sounds good, and her crop is emptying well overnight (perhaps a little on the squishy side but not full or waterballon-y enough to indicate sour crop).
Is this an age thing? Has anyone else encountered dribbling pheasants before? Is there a pheasant specific issue I should be looking for (I've been using chicken guides to try and work out what's going on so far)? Or has she just turned into a particularly slobbery girl
