THE SAME WAY WE TOLD YOU THE LAST 10 OR 12 TIMES. SLOW NON THREATENING MOVEMENTS, TREATS, TIME IN THE AVIARY WITH THEM IN A NON THREATENING MANNER... THEY ARE GAMEBIRDS, NOT PUPPIES... THEY DONT WANNA BE YOUR BUDDY. THEY WILL CALM SOME IN TIME AND WITH PROPER INTERACTION, BUT REMAIN A WILD ANIMAL

Couldnt have said it better. I dont even attempt to touch mine in any way!! I go about my business untill they know the routine. If they want to be touched they will gradually warm up to you.

A friend of mine bought 3 little Yellow Golden chicks and a Lady Amherst and raised them with his phoenix chicks. The Pheasants are now 3 years old and in full color and stay on his property with the chickens. All I know is it worked for him? But I guess it doesnt always worked because Ive had them get out and never return..

Do not recommend free ranging pheasants. Just like other posters here, I do not handle my RGP's, just go about my routine and they have settled a little bit while I'm in the pen. These are normally skittish birds and I've seen caged ones that get so worked up they smash their head and beaks on the cages till they bleed. They like quiet and if free ranged may disappear at the first sign of a predator. Mine freak out if the cat comes near the barn door and they catch sight of him. Just their natural predator response.
