Golden Polish Hen or Rooster?

About 11 weeks, almost 3 months old. Saddle feathers concern me. The beard is new.

It's a bit hard to tell with Polish chickens, but if you check if it has a waddle or larger crest, you can figure it out. From the pictures though, I would also say pullet.

Bearded varieties do not have wattles. Also if it was a male it would be feathered differently with a gold cape across the shoulders instead of lacing.

Oh good to know! I've had Polish chickens before, but they were usually frizzles so I didn't know about the feathering. I would always have to look for ones with bigger crests and bigger attitudes lol
