Crop issues?

My hen is jerking her neck and opening her mouth to breathe after she ate and her tail is kinda straight or down and she’s closing her eyes slowly. she’s also throwing up? I didn’t press on her crop this time but she still threw up her food. This happened a long time ago and from then I started to scatter feed so she doesn’t eat too quickly so how come it happened again? Maybe she ate some of the sand while picking at the pellets? Should I just let her be while supervising or is there something I can do? I got told I shouldn’t try massaging her crop. Last time I tried to take her to the vet but she got better on her own after like 1hour or 2hours but I don’t know if this is super serious or not and how can I stop this from happening? She was fine this morning it was just after she ate then she sneezed a bunch..I’m really worried
