I just noticed this wart like lump on Maggie's right foot today while feeding the girls a treat.
Maggie is about 18 months old and just restarted last week after an approximate 2 month
break. She's laid 5 in the last 7 days. Maggie_0.jpg Maggie's_right_foot_12:19:22.jpg The wart does not seem to be affecting her walking yet (?)
Any ideas what this is and how to I treat it? Thanks

Looks like bumblefoot. It usually starts on the bottom of the foot (a little cut gets infected or something) and you should see a black scab like thing on the her foot pad. Lots of opinions on how best to treat it, but no easy, sure-fire fix unfortunately. Initial treatment for mild cases is usually epsom salt bath soaks for the foot, but her foot already looks pretty swollen, which might require removing the scab and squeezing out the pus or the "core" as it's sometimes called in bumblefoot. Vets can do the surgery as well as give antibiotics which are helpful in getting out all of the infection, though some people do the surgery themselves at home. If you want to try and treat at home I recommend trying a less traumatic way of removing the infection, which is soaking off the scab and squeezing out the core rather than just going straight to cutting it out (it usually does take a lot of soaking to loosen the scab enough to pull off though). If you remove the scab and clean out the foot then you have to bandage it at least until a new scab forms and possible until the new scab heals (it's hard for the scab to heal when the chicken is standing on it all the time). Here is a useful article on foot wrapping if/when the time comes:

That looks like bumble foot infection that sometimes appears between the toes on top. Is there any scab on the bottom of her foot pad? If there is a scab on the bottom, you can do some warm Epsom salts or Betadine soaks for a couple of days until the scab can be pulled off. Then, squeeze the heck out of it to get any yellow core of pus out of it. Then put plain neosporin ointment of it, and dress it as in the article above.

Another method is to put colorless iodine and sugar on the bumble, and wrap it for 2-3 days. Repeat as needed. Prid drawing salve can also be used.

I'm going to attempt to remedy situation by fo;;owing advice given. I'll update in day or two. thanks for help!

Seconding iodine on the lump and give her antibiotics directly not in the water that's for everyone. Whatever antibiotic you are using for your birds should work as infection prevention. If those don't help in a week to ten days, you'll need a vet.

did the non-surgical procedure yesterday. Kept Maggie inside dog crate inside garage until time for girls to go into coop for the night. I put her in the coop and watched from camera and she acted normal. Didn't seem fazed at all. Will repeat procedure Saturday .
I personally don't want to cut on her so if this procedure doesn't pan out it will be off to a vet.

After the second soaking, I'd try squeezing the bottom of the foot to see if the scab will loosen up so you can remove the core. If it doesn't come out, repeat your treatment daily.
