Golden Sex Link or barnyard mutt

I bought this chicken at a local farm at 2 weeks.Now 7 weeks old. I was told it was a straight run golden sex link. When I observed that I thought all sex links were "sexed" based on color, the farmer said no. I didn't push the issue but concluded that a sex link had been breed and that this chicken was probably a mutt. Anyway, I would appreciate help with breed and gender.

Looks like a production red, maybe.

and Yes you are right sexlinks are sexed by color at hatch.

Yes, sex-links can be sexed easily at birth by color.

The chick in question is a MALE, most likely a production red.
